Active Key Wireless Keyboard products are designed for all mobile applications were an integrated trackball and long range transmission is a benefit. Active Key Wireless Trackball keyboards do have a maximum operating range of up to 10 meters and can therefore be used in conference rooms as well as in living rooms and similar applications which require long range transmission.
For applications were RF transmission is not permitted, we have IR based long range wireless keyboards. Plastic keyboard covers for applications were dirt is a problem are also available for some of the wireless keyboards with integrated trackball.
